Review:
Each time the strong melody of AMERICA is scored it increases in rhythmic complexity. After a short 4 measure fanfare the theme is presented in a straight-forward manner in full chordal texture. An eighth-note counter-line moves through all ranges as it contrasts against the tune in the second section. Later sections add triplets, 16th notes and meter changes. The final chord ring triple f at the end of a 4-measure crescendo.
