Review:
The simple, pulsing pattern of the lowest bells add an energetic underpinning to this full, chordal arrangement of the well-known African song. The work makes use of rests to create sudden spaces of silence, adding contrast to the steady rhythmic flow. Delightful as an anthem, offertory or concert piece. Performance notations are given throughout the piece at the exact spot that they are needed. There are several repeat signs and a Coda marking that makes reading "road mapping" essential. No page turns.
