Review:
One can almost hear the fiddles tuning up in this simple rendition of the traditional folk tune. Mallets on a bouncy bass line add to the perky flavor of this setting. A second section calls for "very light martellato" and the counts are written in to aid with the repeating, syncopated rhythm. The melody is found in several registers. This arrangement is set in F Major and Ab Major and is 66 measures.
