Review:
A slow, dynamically contrasting section introduces this setting of the 17th century French melody in c minor. Contrasting tempos include Slowly, Moderately, Gently flowing, Allegro (with lots of 16ths) and then returns to a slow section with sensitive thumb damp and a separate ending for 3 octaves and then 4 and 5 octaves.
