Review:
The traditional English carol, SUSSEX CAROL, is set here for unison voices with optional vocal descant, keyboard and optional 3-4 octaves of handbells. The bells don't enter until m. 57 and then play frequently to the end of the arrangement (93 measures). The bells ring only dotted, quarter-note chords or longer values, however at a sprightly clip. A short fanfare begins the piece with the declaration, "Glory to God!".
