Review:
Bells enter the Big Top with this lively arrangement of Karl King's circus march that became Barnum and Bailey's favorite. The fun begins with an optional parade whistle intro, then proceeds through a technique-laced accompaniment and chromatic melody. Later on, mallet rolls are called for as well as lots of mallets on tabled bells. The arrangement is for 4,5,6 or 7 octaves of bells. With this in mind, the arranger gives an option beginning at the Coda section - 4 octave sets of bells omit the additional top staff, but they may substitute that line with a piccolo. Scored in C Major and F Major, this piece is 111 measures.
