Review:
The Corelli theme is "La Folia" with variations by Hubert Leonard is here set for 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 octaves of bells! The tune is first presented in d minor and in a straight-forward fashion. A leaner rendition of this comes next followed by the theme accompanied by staccato, broken chords in the upper bells. Other variations include 16th note accompaniment, running bass lines, marted accompaniment in Allegro scherzando time and a section marked adagio and one marked piu mosso. A full fortississimo passage ends the transcription with a flare.
