Review:
Michael Helman has a gift for making music accessible and fun. Here in this 2-3 octave arrangement with optional 12 handchimes (C4-G5) he combines "Joy to the World" and "O Come, All Ye Faithful". The introduction, transition and ending combine melodic elements of the two carols, while the other sections set forth each carol in its entirety. Chimes are found in the lower register on the melody in "O Come, All Ye Faithful." Several special techniques are called for.
