Review:
The ceremonious, dignified nature of this original composition was no doubt influenced by the commission in honor of a congregation's 100th anniversary. Marts and shakes are used for emphasis along with triplets and staccato passages. The melody stays in the upper registers with fanfarish motifs sprinkled throughout the texture.
