Joy Dawned Again on Easter Day

Review:      The Latin title for this work is Puer Nobis Nascitur. The arranger combines open 5ths and 4ths to create an opening, chromatic fanfare in full texture and fortissimo dynamic. The beat is often shifted by use of ties over the bar lines. The hymn tune begins in measure 21 in simple octaves and is soon joined by a bass line. The texture continues to be light and open until a return to the fanfare mood of the opening. A key change from D major to E major then ensues and leads to a big, shook ending.
