Review:
The publisher has graded this work level I, but syncopation and the fast, allegro tempo dictates a II plus rating. A rhythmic motif that seems to represent the shepherds hastening to Bethlehem opens the work. Syncopated, dotted quarter notes in 3/4 time hover over the rhythmic pattern. The key changes, moving from F major to Db major. The texture of the work is light, airy and expectant.
