Review:
The traditional, French carol, "Quelle Est Cette Odeur Agreable," along with "Es Ist Ein Ros," the 15th century German tune, are set for 2 to 3-octaves with optional 2-octave handchimes (ten chimes). The character marking is "simply; gently" and the tempo, quarter note = 80. The tunes are set against easy rhythm patterns and give a good work out on the LV technique. The chimes enter with the melody in the mid section with accompaniment above and below.
