This engaging traditional spiritual has been given a fresh new setting by Billy Brandt. The familiar melody is first rung on handchimes (F5, Ab5, Bb5, C6) with a gently-malleted bass supporting it before it launches into the main theme. Its rhythmic style features straight rhythms, syncopation, and even a 'swing' section – all enhanced by malleted bass, marts, mart-lifts, and shakes. Dynamics add to the excitement. This will be an excellent title for a choir to develop their technique skills.
