Review:
This adaptation of a favorite Christmas hymn features melodic handbells floating above the harmonic swirls of the piano. The original concept was to have a small number of ringers playing the piece from memory as they gathered around the piano, for a more intimate and visually appealing presentation. Bell assignments for 6 ringers are given in the composer’s notes, but directors may make alternate assignments to fit their ensemble. The piano solo part is included as a separate pull-out.
NOTE: The purchase of this piece grants the original purchaser permission to reproduce parts as needed for practice and performance by the purchasing organization. This permission is non-transferrable.
