Review:
Deep haunting harmonies open Brian Childers' setting of this well-known Easter hymn. The tune first receives a treatment in minor with flowing chords before an intense driving section sets up the triumphant transition to major. The rhythmic feeling continues on through the glorious conclusion. This is a terrific choice for the ensemble looking for something simultaneously familiar and new for Easter!
