"Santa Lucia" is a traditional Neapolitan song. In this arrangement for handbell quartet, Christine Chan has R1 & R2 using two simultaneous techniques (mallet roll and shake) to imitate the sound of a ukulele. After a short transition, the tune is played by R1 while R4 utilizes a TD/shake combination, which suggests an echo of a mallet roll. Each ringer has a chance to play the melody using different techniques to show the uniqueness and variations of the piece.
