Review:
Brian has composed this original work to paint a musical interpretation of light coming from total darkness. It begins with an ethereal section featuring singing bells, a haunting handchime line, and optional Burma Bells – pierced by quick stabs of 'light'. A dramatic B section written in 7/8 time transitions to a gentle and peaceful 4/4 section, closing in a bold and dynamic Gb major. Dynamics are critical to the interpretation throughout. Mart-lifts, tower swings, LV passages, and TD are perfectly placed to further emphasize this beautiful tone poem. This is a ‘must-have’ for your Level 4 (and higher) group’s repertoire!
