What a Wonderful World

Review:      This tune was written for and recorded by Louis Armstrong in 1967 and was immediately a hit in the UK. It was another year or so before it caught on in the United States. Its lovely melody and sweet lyrics are quite engaging, which accounts for this song being covered by so many artists these past 50 years.

Brian has given the tune a fresh treatment including bracketing it with a new melody in the intro and the ending. It is mostly rung throughout with some well-placed LVs and mart-lifts for a variety of texture, plus a very nice handchime accompaniment supporting the melody in one section. This is truly a new and engaging setting of this favorite song and you will want to include it in your repertoire. 102 measures in G Major.
