Review:
Georges Bizet wrote L’Arlesienne Suite No. 2 as “incidental” music to accompany a play. There are 27 different pieces in this suite and "Farandole" is one of the most familiar since it has become a favorite tune for ‘line dancing’ in the streets in southern France during festivals. This handbell quartet arrangement features RT, mallet on the table, and ring techniques beautifully assigned to emphasize the melodies and rhythms. This is a delightful and challenging work for Bronze-level ensemble ringers. 148 measures in d minor and D Major.
