"Whispers of Hope" was born out of our current social environment. This piece blends the hymns "O God Our Help in Ages Past" (ST. ANNE) and "Blessed Assurance".  It is reassuring to know that God grieves with us when we are down and lifts us up from despair in hope of a brighter day to come.

This 59 measure piece has an extended introduction which hints at C# minor, then settles into D Major for the hymn tunes.  Careful attention to bringing out the melody is essential.
