Review:
The first two movements of this well-known organ suite have been arranged for handbells and handchimes. The Chorale is chordal, stately and a bit austere. It is followed by the dance-like Minuet which is celebratory, graceful and somewhat playful. Handchimes are interspersed, giving variety to the sound in both pieces; and nicely-placed marts, mart-lifts and TD add to the joyful feel of the Minuet. The option to move directly from the Chorale to the Minuet is offered, or each work may fully stand alone.
