Review:
Bold, open harmonies dominate Jason Krug’s arrangement of the hymn BEACH SPRING. Set in a lilting 6/8, the opening verses offer a laid-back treatment, which becomes jubilant and driving as the piece accelerates into a driving 4/4 for the final verse, before a brief return to the dancing 6/8 at the end. The optional tambourine provides extra support on the rhythm and additional aural interest. 99 measures. Key of Eb Major.
