Review:
This original tune from the pen of Ron Mallory is a lighthearted romp, suitable for concert or worship use. Dedicated to the composer’s son, the lilting, syncopated 6/8 imparts a playful attitude to the piece, which is replete with unexpected harmonic divergences that add to the creative, exploratory feeling. Stopped techniques abound, making the piece as fun to play as it is to hear.
