Review:
Patricia Hurlbutt’s arrangement of the hymntune BEECHER is a treat to hear and ring, and is quite approachable for most smaller ensembles. A straightforward setting of the tune leads into a verse played entirely with mallets, before giving way to a slower, majestic final iteration. This piece is a wonderful addition to the repertoire for two and three octave ensembles! 51 measures. Keys of C Major and F Major.
