Review:
Ron Mallory’s original piece works well not just in concert, but also as a non-traditional choice for Easter Sunday service, or any other celebratory time during the church year. A driving, syncopated melody — at first lightly accompanied, then propelled by malleted bells — gives way to a gentler, reflective middle section with a melody on chimes. The initial idea returns at the end to bring the piece to a final, triumphant conclusion. A fun piece both to ring and hear! 132 measures.
