This is an arrangement by John A. Behnke of the hymn tune MENDELSSOHN DA PACEM ("Grant Peace, We Pray, in Mercy, Lord") for 3–5 octave handchimes or handbells. The gorgeous, flowing accompaniment supports Felix Mendelssohn’s beautiful tune. Handchimes are preferred, giving this piece a warm, peaceful feeling. Use this prayer for peace at any time, but especially at times of need for hope and comfort. 74 measures.
