Review:
"Out of the Silent Planet" is inspired by the C. S. Lewis sci-fi/fantasy novel of the same name. We know space to be empty, dark and quiet, but in Lewis's imagined universe, space (heaven) is full of light and sound, and Earth is silenced by a dark spirit. This piece illustrates the protagonist's journey from dark, silent planet Earth to the joyous clamor of the heavens. Performance notes included. 109 measures.
