Review:
This sweet, heartwarming work makes a perfect addition to any Advent or Christmas service, especially on Christmas Eve. An original tune gives way to a grandiose statement of "The First Noel" before returning to the opening theme once again. The optional flute or English horn adds interesting countermelodies, most notably snippets of "Silent Night" that interweave with the handbell tune. An optional piano part is also available to further augment the sonorities. 149 measures. Keys of C Major and A Major.
