Review:
Sue has created an excellent arrangement of one of Sousa’s best-loved marches. In the beginning, the bells ring the familiar main A-B themes of the tune, then the piano solo takes the spotlight while the bell tree is set up. The soloist enters again, playing the bell tree counter-melody, which in band concerts, is typically played by the piccolo! This is a really fun arrangement for the moderately-skilled solo ringer. Begins in Eb Major, then modulates to Ab Major. 165 measures.
