Here is a sensitive arrangement of this familiar African-American spiritual. The occasional addition of handchimes playing the melody plus a nicely crafted modulation from C major to Eb major adds to its charm. It is ‘rung’ throughout with a few echoes added for interest. The entire work is lyrical and should be played with great feeling. 86 measures.
