Review:
First Praise was written to be a teaching piece that would be suitable to play in a worship service or concert. The first 16 measures are full and simple with no articulations. Using the optional Fine, these excerpted measures would work very well as a first piece for a beginning handchime or handbell group. The theme is then developed with several articulations placed in such a way as to make teaching them very easy. At the same time, there is great opportunity to work on musicality with the group. Techniques used are: echo, shake, mart, LV, swing, thumb damp and mart lift. 69 measures. Key of C Major.
