Review:
The range of this rondo calls for an A6, a departure from the standard 2-octave notes. It would be a good choice for any group with access to a 3-octave set of bells but only 8 ringers; the 8th ringer would enjoy having 2 bells, a perk not available in 2-octave music. Mallets and thumb damps require bells rather than chimes. The syncopated melody of the A-section with an accompaniment using mallets adds a lively spark to this original composition. The bass clef bells get a running bass line in the middle section; the C-melody of the rondo moves to the middle bells against thumb damps in the high bells. This lively piece should be fun for ringers and enjoyable for listeners. 58 measures. Key of G Major.
