Review:
Sondra Tucker has crafted a fabulous arrangement of this theme (originally written by Elmer Bernstein) from the film The Magnificent Seven. All the excitement of the Old West is expressed with use of a variety of stopped techniques such as mart, table mallet and RT and more. Addition of the melody played on handchimes in some sections adds to the variety of sounds. A good balance of standard ringing and stopped techniques throughout will make this a fun piece for your ringers-–and have the audience tapping their toes with the rhythm. 121 measures. Key of Bb Major.
