Accomplished and celebrated composer William Payn’s exceptional contribution to the Embellish Series is an evocative work that vividly brings spherical images through the pervasive use of stepwise motion, crescendos and decrescendos, the layering of different of musical ideas, and mixed meter. This is a must for the handbell ensemble that’s searching for music to enable them to grow and expand their art. It is an exemplary choice for concerts and festivals. 135 measures. Ab Major modulates to Bb Major, then returns to Ab Major.
