Review:
This arrangement of four carols (Adeste Fideles, Angels We Have Heard on High, Lo How a Rose E'er Blooming, Break Forth O Beauteous Heavenly Light) is not just a medley but rather a complex melange of intertwining motives throughout. It builds on the main piece “Break Forth, O Beauteous Heavenly Light”, but bits and pieces of the other three are mixed in “guess what” fashion for an audience pleasing mystery composition. Ringers will encounter many accidentals within key centers of E flat and G, numerous meter changes (2/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/4, and 12/8) and demanding dynamic changes throughout.
