Review:
This piece provides an effectively resonant sound for a level 2 arrangement. It offers two ‘verses’ contrasting in character and tonality. The first in Eb major is chordal, but varies from the original hymn in its 3/4 meter and unexpected chord spellings. The
second verse is in G major and is more animated and robust, with some moving bass lines and a descant in treble bells. Rhythms are easy and accidentals are few in this appealing old favorite. This arrangement is 72 measures in length.
