Review:
This exacting transcription of one of the loveliest portions of the “Messiah” will be a treat for ringers and audiences. Rhythmic patterns within the 12/8 meter will challenge the ensemble, but pattern repetitions offer consistency. It is a wonderful study for dynamic phrasing and tonal balance but well worth the effort. Scored in C Major, it is 56 measures in length.
