Review:
Based on the tune "Via Deloroso",
"Aria for Handbells" begins and ends quietly. It has big chordal middle section and is most appropriate during Lent or as a general selection. Four bells, D3 - G3, are optional. This piece is primarily of a thin texture and should be rung "very slowly, and with freedom". Set in g minor, it is 80 measures.
