Review:
This accessible arrangement of the tune, PERSONENT HODIE, is extremely flexible. With it’s primary title, "Long Ago, Prophets Knew" it is suitable for Advent. With the secondary title, "On This Day, Earth Shall Ring", it becomes a Christmas piece. Although it is a level 1 piece, constant quarter note movement and a tempo of quarter = 104 make it sound more challenging than it is. This 59 measure setting is scored in c minor.
