Within the moderating tempos of this sturdy dance ringers will find a wide variety of rhythmic subdivisions including duplet and triplet eighth and sixteenth notes. There are some quick accidental shifts, but the slower tempo eases the difficulties. The piece is vigorous and fun, with some historical background information adding interest.
