Review:
Lady Gaga’s first mega-hit with its catchy chorus and exciting rhythms is sure to appeal to any handbell ensemble, especially the youth ringers. The malleted bass adds the backup to the melody that will sound true to the original in a smaller (3 octave) group or larger (4-6 octave) ensemble. The addition of the optional rhythm parts, which include bass, drums, and synthesizer, (or CD accompaniment track) really brings Keith Richard’s setting of this pop sensation to life. 103 measures in length, it is scored in c# minor.
