Review:
Based on the tune "Autumn" by Barthelemon, the bravura style works wonderfully for handbells and handchimes. It begins and ends with majestic chords for mallets, and has a nicely contrasted statement of the hymn tune in the center. Chords are the emphasis here, with lots of dynamic nuance from soft to very loud, achieved with shakes and echoes. The meter is 3/2 and the tempos are sedate. This powerful work is 89 measures and is scored in C Major and G Major.
