Review:
This delightful piece is a tribute to historical Classical music form, harmonic structure and stylistic elements. Ringers will encounter repeating patterns of melodic and harmonic intervals including the familiar Alberti bass so common in keyboard works of the period. Rhythms are easy, flowing in constant eighth notes, and minimal accidentals occur within the G Major tonality. The challenge of this piece lies in the dynamic balance between the contrasting elements in the bell parts and the charming flute solo that rides above them. Set in G Major, this work is 66 measures.
