Review:
This wonderful arrangement by Sandra Eithun continues the tradition of challenging, advanced music for which the Raleigh Ringers series has become known. This is a work of great sophistication and beauty that can be used for Advent, general worship, or concert. Although optional, the use of handchimes, Petit & Fritzen handbells, and percussion (wind chimes, finger cymbals, orchestral chimes) greatly enhances the mood, musicality, and overall performance of the piece. Frequently changing tempos (including freely-performed sections and very brisk sections), sixteenth note runs, and accidentals are among the challenges in this composition. It is 121 measures long.
