The contemplative strains of "Savior of the Nations, Come" and "Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus" are woven together in this lovely musical prayer for the Advent season. A steady ringing, sometimes syncopated bass line supports the treble melody. Dynamic variations play an important part in the musical expression of this piece and should be well rehearsed. Set in c minor with very few bell changes, this medley is 57 measures.
