Review:
A traditional hymn tune receives an updated treatment in this fascinating arrangement. A hymn style introduction leads into the music, with the instruction "slow, relaxed swing" describing the 12/8 jazz bass that accompanies the melody. Textures thicken as the 61-measure piece progresses and harmonies move through C, G, and Bb majors. This one will be fun for both ringers and listeners.
