Review:
This energetic piece offers many opportunities for the beginning ringer. Articulations include shakes, echos, martellato-lifts and thumb-damps, all of which are played without the bells leaving ringers’ hands. The 113-measure setting of the very familiar Welsh melody is appropriate for church, school and festival settings. The flute and finger cymbals (or tambourine) are optional but add an extra-special touch. This rendition is scored in G Major.
