Review:
The sub-title for this original composition is "Psalms 2" which begins, "Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?" The music, with its intense energy, frantic rhythms, multiple bell changes, and multiplicity of bell techniques reflects the text to a tee. "Pandemonium" is 90 measures. It was the winner of the Alberta Guild of English Handbell Ringers 2009 Composition Competition--Youth Division and selected for the 14th International Handbell Symposium in 2010.
