Review:
Careful attention to the balance of voices will make this easy piece sound more difficult than it is. Conversational phrases over a single low bell “pedal point” are intriguing and might allow experimentation with the “singing bell” technique. The middle section is more simple in texture. Rhythms are easy and there are few accidentals. This is a quiet,
meditative selection for worship or concert. "Cantilena" is set in g minor and is 51 measures.
