Review:
From the 14th International Handbell Symposium Composition, this tune starts with a motive taken from the Harmony of Peace from "The Bells in My Heart" rung by all the mass ringers at the 13th International Handbell Symposium in the USA. After harmonies by handbells and chimes, the vigorous rhythms of Japanese drums enter, featuring "Omatsuri"--a unique Japanese festival. The middle section reflects the magnificent feelings that "Mt. Fugi", the mountain of our hearts, evokes in all Japanese people. The composer writes, "If the beautiful harmonies of handbells unite our hearts and make us feel the pleasure of making music together, I would be very happy."
